What is the Pallet Design System? The Pallet Design System (PDS) is a computer-aided design tool that helps you design the best pallet for any job at the lowest cost. By inputting all of the customers' pallet design alternatives, and the materials needed to build the pallet, the program produces low cost and accurate performance forecasts. It also identifies potential problem areas, and redirects the pallet supplier and user to more practical design alternatives without costly trial and error or expensive prototyping and testing. PDS is effectively used to:
- check adequacy of existing wood pallet designs
- improve efficiency of existing wood pallets
- design replacements of new wooden pallets
