What type of pallet services does Kamps provide?
We are capable of designing new and remanufactured pallets to suit any need. We also recycle a large variety of the most popular sized pallets for both the grocery and manufacturing industries. We own and operate a pallet rental system to help manage costs in a closed loop system. Kamps can also provide wooden crates to suit your shipping needs.

How large a geographic area do you service?
A five state area of the Midwest:  Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin.  If you are outside this area, please feel free to contact us, and we will service your pallet needs.

What do you mean by "pallet pooling"?
Pallet pooling is a program whereby we rent you a pallet (for a closed loop system), track it to your customer and then retrieve the pallet in order to start the process over again.

Do I need to order a 48x45 or a 45x48?
When discussing pallets, you would say the stringer length first and the deck board length second.

Do you buy pallets?
We buy pallets that we can resell, or use the components to repair other pallets. We charge for pallets that have no value as they are shred up and recycled as landscape mulch.

How much do you pay for pallets?
The price we pay for pallets is based on its resale value which depends on size, condition, species of wood and current inventories. Prices vary according to location.

How much weight can a pallet hold?
You tell us the weight and with the aid of our Pallet Design System (PDS) computer software, we will design a pallet or recommend a recycled pallet to fit your needs.

How does a wingtip pallet differ from a flush pallet? The boards on a wingtip hang past the stringers. The boards on a flush pallet are even (flush) with the stringer.

What is a two-way pallet and what is a four-way pallet? What is a Euro Pallet?
A two-way runner pallet can only be entered by a forklift at the ends. These runners do have the best strength. A four-way runner pallet, though a little less durable, does allow for forklift entry from all sides. A Euro Pallet uses nine blocks for supports rather than runners, giving it greater ease for forklift entry on all sides. It is typically used for European exports.

What is the difference between a remanufactured pallet and a reconditioned pallet?
A remanufactured pallet is comprised of stringers and boards that have been recovered from disassembled pallets, or has some new components such as stringers. A reconditioned pallet is a repaired pallet.

How many trailers do you have?
Kamps owns approximately 300 trailers. Many trailers are placed at customers' facilities to better coordinate pickups and deliveries.
